Daily Five uses five source-backed questions connected to verified current headlines. Week in 20 gathers four recent Daily editions into one resumable weekly round. Hidden Thread asks five apparently unrelated questions before revealing the connection among them.
Players can also choose a subject from Topic Sprint’s reviewed general-audience catalog, browse the built-in Library, continue through an Endless Mix, follow an Adaptive Trail, or return to missed questions in Memory Review. Topic Sprint rejects unsupported text on the device and screens Wikimedia source material before building a round. Most rounds are intentionally short: finish five questions, review what you learned, and stop—or follow a related topic when something catches your attention. A knowledge profile that stays yours
Knowledge DNA is calculated from answers retained on your device. It begins after 20 unique questions and shows evidence across five broad knowledge worlds, with sample sizes and confidence-building thresholds instead of pretending a handful of answers defines you. “Before It Was News” can point out a knowledge world you explored before it appeared in the Daily Five; it is a retrospective connection, not a prediction.
Social when you choose it
No account is required for core play. If you opt in, a pseudonymous social identity unlocks spoiler-safe challenge links, private Braintrust groups of up to 12 people, category-based channels, and “Read the Room” answer distributions. A distribution appears only after you submit that exact edition and at least 10 verified pseudonymous submissions exist; percentages are rounded to five-point buckets. A Braintrust builds shared streaks, weekly standings, category crowns, and a factual Olivia recap from the group’s real results.
trivolivia does not add advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking pixels. Complete learning history, Knowledge DNA, interests, and review schedules stay local; only the limited Daily and profile data needed for social features goes to the social service.
