Choose Daily or Topics
Daily has five four-choice questions tied to distinct current stories. Answer first, then read the durable fact, why it connects to today, and the sources for both. Everyone gets the same edition for its UTC date. Once downloaded, a verified edition remains playable offline. When an edition has not passed review, Daily says it is being prepared and Topics remains available.
Topics offers Animal Biology, Space and Astronomy, Film Production, Historical Context, Word Origins, Food Origins and Science, Everyday Object Design, and Skateboarding. Search filters the choices. Five-question sessions draw from source-backed cards and avoid repeating available cards until the pack is exhausted.
Free-form topics appear under Experimental. The server researches and separately reviews each source-backed round. These rounds are unscored and do not affect streaks, Knowledge DNA, rankings, or sharing. If a topic cannot pass review or the daily content budget is exhausted, choose one of the eight listed Topics instead.
Answer, then explore
Choose one of four answers. The reveal explains the fact and lets you open its sources. Daily also shows the current-story connection. You can leave after five questions or start another topic.
Your progress
Gameplay starts without signup. Browser progress stays on your device. Clearing site data can erase it. Older local results remain readable after the new browser game launches.

Yes. The browser game is free and has no ads. The iPhone app may show older modes until it receives an update.
